This Tuesday, the Parliament urged the Government to increase the tax deductions for households with a variable rate mortgage, which have seen their mortgage payment increased. The Parliament’s Finance and Budget Committee has partially approved a non-law proposal from the MÉS per Mallorca group on the impact of interest increases, the legislative chamber has reported in a statement.
The deputies have also supported urging the central government to promote a greater framework of competition within the Spanish financial system that facilitates an equal transfer of monetary policy in loans as in bank deposits, with a socialist amendment to the text.
The commission has also unanimously agreed to urge the Government to promote a protection scheme for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as autonomousin the face of the increase in the cost of financing, through a special liquidity line carried out by the Reciprocal Guarantee Company (ISBA), at least as long as interest rates continue at the current high values
