Motorsport Crowns 2025 Champions at Star-Studded FIA Awards in Tashkent

The 2025 motorsport season culminated in a spectacular FIA Awards show on December 12th in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, celebrating champions across seven World Championship categories. The event, attended by 2,500 fans, honored the dedication and achievements of drivers, co-drivers, and navigators, marking a historic first for the Humo Arena as host.

A Night of Recognition and Future Aspirations

The ceremony, held in the presence of FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem and Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, officially recognized the season’s victors. Hosted by the National Automobile and Karting Federation of Uzbekistan (NAFKU) and supported by partners including Rolex, DHL, Hankook, and AlphaTauri, the evening underscored the spirit of competition and the dreams that fuel motorsport athletes.

“Hear in Tashkent, we have celebrated the members of our motorsport family whose commitment, spirit and dedication sit at the very heart of our sport,” stated a senior FIA official. “We have also looked toward the champions of tomorrow, those at the start of their journeys, taking their first steps and achieving their first successes.”

The evening’s theme, “Dreams of a Champion,” resonated throughout the event, highlighting the journeys of those who reached the pinnacle of their respective disciplines.in addition to the championship trophies, the FIA Rookie of the Year and Action of the Year awards – voted on by fans across social media – were also presented.

Ferrari dominate WEC, Toyota Reign in Rallying

Ferrari enjoyed a triumphant season in the FIA World Endurance Championship, claiming both the Manufacturers’ title and the Drivers’ Championship with the crew of car #51 – Alessandro Pier Guidi, Antonio Giovinazzi, and James Calado.

In the off-road realm, Toyota continued its reign, with TOYOTA GAZOO Racing teams winning both the FIA World rally and World Rally-Raid Championships. Sébastien Ogier secured a record-equalling ninth FIA World Rally Championship Drivers’ crown, alongside co-driver Vincent Landais, after a nail-biting finish in Saudi Arabia. Lucas Moraes emerged victorious in the FIA World rally-Raid Championship, while Edouard Boulanger secured his second consecutive Navigator’s Championship title.

Kristoffersson and Rowland Add to Their Legacy

Johan Kristoffersson continued his dominance in World Rallycross,claiming an astounding eighth championship victory. His team,KMS,led by Tommy Kristoffersson,also secured the teams’ title.

Circuit racing saw a fairytale season for Oliver Rowland,who secured his first ABB FIA Formula E World championship with Nissan. After narrowly missing out on the Season 10 crown, Rowland’s 2025 campaign was a resounding success, with TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team and Porsche taking the Teams’ and manufacturers’ titles respectively.

Rising Stars Honored in Karting and Formula 3

The FIA’s Karting World Championships showcased the next generation of talent, with Noah Baglin (OK-Junior), Thibaut Ramaekers (OK), and Senna van Walstijn (KZ) claiming victories. The FIA Rookie of the Year award, a predictor of future stardom, was presented to newly-crowned FIA Formula 3 Champion Rafael Câmara.
