MP Elysée Munembwe urges women in her party to familiarize themselves with digital (CongoForum)

KINSHASA – As part of the closing of the month dedicated to women’s rights, the national deputy Elysée Munembwe exchanged this Saturday, March 25 with the women of her political party, Action Alternative pour la renaissance du Congo (AARC), on the merits digital technology in women’s daily lives.

“We are gathered today on the occasion of the closing of the month of women’s rights, to reflect on the place that women must occupy for the development of digital technology for the promotion of peace and the empowerment of women. and the young girl, this is why I invite you to familiarize yourself with digital technology to contribute to the promotion of peace and ensure your financial independence through various digital-related professions,” said MP Munembwe.

She continued her intervention, asking women to use digital technology to denounce various forms of violence suffered by Congolese women in the eastern part of the country and in other provinces affected by violence.

To link theory to practice, the women present at the activity learned how to positively use social networks to ensure their empowerment and promote their economic activities because today with digital technology, business can be done online.

Turning to politics, the MP encouraged women to engage in active politics to increase the number of women in parliament so that the voice of women can be heard.

Regarding the electoral process, the political party Action Alternative pour la renaissance du Congo Elysée munembwe maintains its position of only going to elections when the office of the CENI and the Constitutional Court are reconstituted to lead to free and transparent elections.
