Mr. Sanchez’s visit to Morocco confirms an increasingly close relationship between Rabat and Madrid (French lawyer)
Paris – The working visit to Morocco by the President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez, the first since his inauguration, establishes an increasingly close relationship between Rabat and Madrid, underlined the French jurist and essayist, Jérôme Besnard.
Spain clearly positions itself as a “reliable” and “friendly” partner of the Kingdom, added Mr. Besnard, also a public law teacher at Paris-Cité University, in a statement to MAP.
And to note that relations between Morocco and Spain, “with very positive repercussions on the European Union as well, owe a lot to the diplomatic action of His Majesty King Mohammed VI”.
On the economic level, Mr. Besnard recalled that Spain is Morocco’s leading partner with a constantly increasing trade volume. “Spanish investments in Morocco are very important,” he noted in this regard.
The President of the Spanish Government made a working visit to Morocco on Wednesday, marked by the audience granted to him by HM King Mohammed VI, may God help him.
This visit is part of the continuity of the new phase of bilateral relations, which began since the meeting between His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, and the President of the Spanish Government, in April 2022, and the adoption, on this occasion , of the Joint Declaration between the two countries.
