Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko arrived at the farewell ceremony for the deceased head of the Emergencies Ministry Yevgeny Zinichev.

The Minister laid a bouquet of red roses at the Emergencies Ministry building on Vatutin Street, where the ceremony is taking place.

The coffin with the body of Zinichev is installed on a pedestal, near which the guard of honor carries a funeral watch, writes REN TV. Numerous state and departmental awards of Evgeny Zinichev are presented on satin pillows near the coffin.

It became known yesterday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will also attend the farewell ceremony with Zinichev. The head of state, expressing condolences in connection with the death of the minister, noted that Zinichev’s death was a personal irreparable loss for him.

The funeral of the head of the Emergencies Ministry will be held on September 10 at the Northern Cemetery of St. Petersburg in a closed mode for the press. The minister’s parents are buried in the same cemetery. Muscovites also bring flowers to the building of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Moscow and departments of the department in the regions in memory of Zinichev.

Yevgeny Zinichev died on September 8 in Norilsk, trying to save the famous film director Alexander Melnik, who also died as a result of the accident.

Zinichev was born on August 18, 1966 in Leningrad. He headed the Russian Emergencies Ministry since 2018. He was awarded the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, IV degree with the image of swords, the medal of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, II degree and the Suvorov medal, on September 9 he was awarded the title of Hero of Russia posthumously.
