The device syncs with the Facebook View application, through which you can upload files to other applications. The memory of the glasses is designed for 30 half-minute videos or 500 photographs.

The glasses can also be used as headphones for listening to music and receiving calls, as speakers are built into the temples. The glasses can work up to 6 hours and take an hour to charge. The gadget can be connected to iOS or Android devices.

At the same time, it is noted that the glasses are not waterproof, not protected from splashes, and there are no displays in the lenses. They cost from $ 299 to $ 379 (22,000-27,000 rubles), depending on the type of lenses.

In February, CNBC reported that Facebook was discussing the possibility of using facial recognition technology in its smart glasses. However, then, according to the TV channel, a dispute arose about the ethics of such a function. Now its presence has not been announced. The company’s prototype smart glasses – Project Aria – has been tested since September 2020.The company has distributed samples to its employees and contractors for wearing the device on campus and in public places.
