More than 500 foreign players have shown interest to participate in the fifth edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). Players from 24 cricket playing countries have shown interest in playing LPL. LPL authorities have confirmed this news.
Where Bangladesh also has dozens of cricketers. However, as important players, Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Taskin Ahmed from Bangladesh have been named in this franchise competition of five teams.
In the last season, Shakib Al Hasan was recruited from outside the draft. Tawheed Hriday played for Jaffna Kings. Both the performances were great.
The Lankan Premier League will start from July 1 after the T20 World Cup. This competition will last for 21 days. Before this, the players have to be drafted into the team. The date, however, has not been disclosed by the LPL authorities.
