Manos Loizos was a multifaceted case of a composer, who wrote from military political songs to tender ballads and from art and rock to heavy folk. In his twenty-year musical career, he wrote some of the best Greek songs, collaborating with lyricists Yiannis Negrepontis, Fonta Ladis, Manolis Rasoulis, Dimitris Christodoulou and Lefteris Papadopoulos. His songs, full of lyricism and tenderness, were performed by great names of Greek music, such as Giorgos Dalaras, Haris Alexiou, Yiannis Poulopoulos, Yiannis Parios, Maria Farandouri, Stelios Kazantzidis and other great performers.
