Musk confirms that the first test launch of Starship will be on Monday
American businessman Elon Musk has confirmed that his company SpaceX will conduct the first test launch of the Starship spacecraft on Monday.
“Launch attempt tomorrow,” Musk announced on his Twitter account.
SpaceX previously informed that this is the first full-fledged flight test of a “fully integrated” complex as part of the Starship spacecraft and the Super Heavy launch vehicle. SpaceX is building a reusable Starship spacecraft for deep space missions. It is Starship, as conceived by Musk, that will be used to send people to the Moon and Mars.
The US Federal Aviation Administration included the launch from the Boca Chica launch site (Texas) in the space launch schedule with the main date on April 17, that is, just on Monday. There will also be a reserve “window” – April 18-21.
