My national water polo team is stepping up its preparations in Iran in preparation for the Arab Championship

Our national water polo team continues its tactical and physical preparations during its current external training camp hosted by the Iranian city of Mashhad, in preparation for participating in the Arab Water Games Championship scheduled to be held in Egypt in mid-August.

The Vice President of the Swimming Federation, Hashem Mohammed, said in a statement to Al-Sabah newspaper, which was followed by the (INA): “The technical staff has intensified its daily training units in the Iranian preparatory camp, which started on the 12th and will continue until the 21st of this month. It includes playing friendly matches against Iranian clubs, which has contributed to raising the technical and fitness aspects in preparation for participation in the Arab Championship, as it is expected to obtain positive results in this competitive forum.”

He added that “the technical staff, led by coach Adel Mahdi and his assistant Alaa Ghazi, have put in place a future work plan to prepare the national team, as the national team will participate in a second gathering hosted by the capital Baghdad, after returning from Iran. There will also be other camps that precede many of the expected external participations, the most important of which is the Arab Championship in Kuwait early next December.”
