jpnn.com – SEMARANG – Acting (Pj) Governor of Central Java Nana Sudjana encouraged Mas-Mbak Central Java 2024 to become ambassadors and promotional faces for tourism and culture in their region. This is because the tourism sector has a multiplier effect in various fields.
“We hope that with the presence of Mas Mbak Jateng, we can increase the promotion of tourism and culture in Central Java. So that it will be better known at the national and even international levels,” said Nana Sudjana after attending the grand final night of the 2024 Mas Mbak Central Java Election at the Balairung Astina UTC, Semarang City on Saturday (21/9) night.
Central Java’s tourism potential is quite abundant. Starting from natural tourism, culture, to
sites that have historical value.
This potential needs to be continuously improved, repaired and organized.
In addition, the attraction of domestic and foreign tourists must also be boosted.
Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency of Central Java released on September 2, 2024, domestic tourist visits to Central Java in the period January-July 2024 reached 89.56 million trips. Meanwhile, foreign tourist visits to Central Java in July 2024 were recorded at 142.
With the presence of Mas-Mbak Jateng, said Nana, it is hoped that it can provide insight into tourism and culture of Central Java, so that it can attract the interest of both local and foreign tourists.
