Nancy Coen Remembered: Community Mourns Loss in County Mayo
A beloved resident of Carrowcur, Bekan, Claremorris, Co Mayo, Nancy Coen passed away peacefully surrounded by family and in the care of Mayo Hospice in Castlebar. Her passing marks a significant loss for the local community, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Nancy’s life was marked by deep familial bonds and a strong connection to her community. She was predeceased by her parents, Delia and Thomas Coen, her sister Mary Doran, brother Pat Coen, daughter Dolores Walsh, and grandson Shane Langan.
A Life Celebrated: Family and Friends
Nancy will be profoundly missed by her devoted husband, Michael, and her children, Alacoque, Bernadette, Monica, Carmel, and Brendan. Her influence extended to her nine grandchildren – Emma Louise, James, Colm, Cian, Rachel, Chloe, Ben, Ava, and Lauren – who will carry forward her spirit. She is also survived by her sister Kathleen Bradford, brother Jim (residing in Melbourne), daughters-in-law Fiona, and sons-in-law Tómas, Tommy, Robert, and Connie, as well as her sister-in-law Anne, and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.
Funeral Arrangements and Memorials
Reposing will be held at the Marian Funeral Home, Knock (F12 A726) on Sunday, beginning at 6:00 PM, with removal at 8:00 PM to St. John The Baptist Church, Knock. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, followed by burial in the local cemetery. The family has requested privacy at their home during this difficult time.
