Nursery School Abuse Allegations Surface in France, Sparking Investigation

A disturbing pattern of alleged abuse at a nursery school in Rezé, France, is unfolding, with multiple young children reporting incidents involving a former after-school leader.

A three-year-old girl, identified as Alinor (name changed to protect her privacy), has stopped speaking and exhibits concerning behavioral changes, including episodes of enuresis and aggression, following what her mother describes as “this story.” The child developed stress-related skin reactions on her back and mouth, and has been observed hitting her mother and throwing objects during and after therapy sessions.

According to the mother’s account to investigators, Alinor once screamed in pain while urinating, explaining she was trying to “remove” something because Frédéric S. had touched her. In June 2019, three months after Alinor confided that Frédéric S. had engaged in a secretive act described as “guilis on the pounette,” the 53-year-old was suspended from his position at the Alinor nursery school in Rezé, located south of Nantes.

The initial report involving Alinor was quickly followed by another disturbing revelation. A four-year-old girl told her mother, and subsequently investigators, that Frédéric S. had given her a kiss “good on the mouth” and another “a little on the mouth and a little on not the mouth,” or the corner of the lips. The young girl recounted being told, “you don’t tell your mom,” but bravely disclosed the incident to a crossing guard, who offered her two stuffed animals as she described what happened.

Mounting Allegations Against After-School Leader

As the investigation progressed, a series of deeply troubling accounts emerged from other children attending the Alinor nursery school. These reports detailed a range of alleged inappropriate behaviors by Frédéric S.

Some of the allegations include:

  • A finger inserted into the mouth.
  • An incident described as occurring “in the butt pipe.”
  • “Sloppy snail kisses.”
  • A kiss on the “zézette” (a colloquial term for the vulva).
  • Allegations that Frédéric S. “unzipped his fly” and “pees on face.”

A recurring element in several of the children’s accounts is a stuffed animal, nicknamed “Snack,” a blue rabbit used by Frédéric S. during mealtimes in the canteen. Multiple children reported that “Snack” kissed them on the mouth or pulled down their pants.

The unfolding investigation highlights the critical importance of vigilance and open communication in protecting vulnerable children. The case underscores the challenges faced by parents and educators in recognizing and responding to potential child abuse, and the lasting trauma it can inflict on young victims.
