La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper revealed an important development regarding the future of Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli player.
According to the newspaper, Mamuka Gogeli, Kvaratskhelia’s agent, will arrive in Naples to meet club president Aurelio De Laurentiis and discuss his client’s contract.
The newspaper reported, “The possibility that Kvaratskhelia’s agent will present a ‘transfer scenario’ to De Laurentiis is quite real.”
“Napoli wants to renew Kvaratskhelia’s contract and has offered him a salary of four million euros, compared to his current salary of 1.5 million euros.”
“Gazzetta dello Sport” explained, “Tripling Kvaratskhelia’s salary will not be enough to keep him, as the player’s entourage is asking for five million euros.
The Italian newspaper indicated that Barcelona’s confirmation of Xavi’s continuation led to an increase in the Blaugrana’s chances of contracting with Kvaratskhelia.
She reported that Xavi admires 23-year-old Kvaratskhelia.
She said: “Barcelona’s interest in Kavaratskhelia and Napoli’s expected failure to qualify for the Champions League are two very important factors regarding the player’s future.”
Kvaratskhelia played 41 games with Napoli this season, scoring 10 goals and making eight.
According to the “transfermarkt” website, Kvaratskhelia has scored 24 goals and made 25 assists in 84 matches with Napoli since his move to Napoli in 2022.
