The meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee has started to review the news of the moon sighting of the holy month of Shawwal of 1445 Hijri and take a decision on it.

It will be known through this meeting whether the holy Eid-ul-Fitr will be held tomorrow on Wednesday or the next day on Thursday.

The Bad Maghrib meeting began on Tuesday (April 9) at the meeting room of the Islamic Foundation in Baitul Mukarram. President of National Moon Sighting Committee and Minister of Religion is presiding over the meeting. Faridul Haque Khan.

In the meeting, the date of Eid-ul-Fitr celebration will be decided by reviewing the news of the sighting of the moon in the month of Shawwal of 1445 Hijri. Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims, is celebrated on the 1st of Shawwal after a month of Ramadan fasting.

If the moon of Shawwal is seen in the sky of the country on Tuesday, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated the next day on Wednesday (April 10). And if the moon is not seen anywhere in Bangladesh, 30 days of Ramadan will be completed on Wednesday. In that case Eid will be celebrated on Thursday (April 11).

The Islamic Foundation requested to inform the Executive Officer (UNO).

Meanwhile, the new moon of the month of Shawwal was not seen in the sky of Saudi Arabia on Monday. So after observing 30 fasts on Tuesday, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the country on Wednesday.
