Our national taekwondo team is preparing to participate in the Arab Police Championship scheduled to be held in Baghdad at the beginning of next May, through its training camp held in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, which aims to equip our members in the required manner technically and physically, in order to compete to win colorful medals.
The media coordinator of the Taekwondo Federation, Ahmed Al-Gharawi, said in a statement to Al-Sabah newspaper, followed by the (INA) on Tuesday: “Preparations are in full swing to host the Arab Police Championship, which will witness the participation of many countries in the region, stressing the Taekwondo Federation’s keenness to continue efforts through… Preparing all means to make the next carnival a success, in a way that reflects our country’s position in organizing various Arab and Asian sporting events.”
He added, “This hosting will open new horizons for Taekwondo in Iraq and the region, to keep pace with the great leaps our sport is witnessing, as it has succeeded in hosting many competitions in various games during the recent period, and at the forefront comes the event of holding the Arabian Gulf Cup when Basra excelled in organizing one of the most beautiful editions with testimony.” everyone”.
Al-Gharawi explained, “Our team attended a training camp in Sulaymaniyah for (15) days, and it includes intensive training units led by the training staff consisting of Jassim Rahma, Nabil Qassem, and Hussein Ghazal, and under the supervision of the technical director of the Iranian national teams, Muhammad Bagheri Motamed, indicating that the preparatory station will be a final rehearsal.” “For our players before entering the Arab competition, hoping to achieve positive results worthy of the reputation of the game.”
