National team players Ahmed Yassin and Saad Nateq confirmed the players’ readiness for the national team’s match with its Palestinian counterpart next Thursday.
Player Ahmed Yassin told the (INA): “The national team is training in preparation for the Palestinian team,” noting, “The Palestinian team is not easy and we aspire to score points in the match.”
He added, “We are working to implement the coach’s instructions according to his plan for the match,” noting that he is “working to adapt the situation for the newcomer to the national team, Lukas Schlimon.”
For his part, the national team’s center back, Saad Natiq, affirmed, “The Palestinian team is a good and respectable team, contrary to the popular talk that it is an easy team,” noting, “Thursday’s match is not easy, and everyone realizes the importance of the three points for the national team.”
A spokesman for the (INA) added, “All the team players are fully prepared for the match, unlike the previous two matches, especially with the start of the Iraq Stars League.”
The Iraqi team will meet its Palestinian counterpart on the 10th of this month, then with South Korea on the 15th, within the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers.
