While the death occurred on December 7, the family chose to wait eight days before publicly sharing the news, also detailing plans for a private funeral service to be held on Friday, December 19, attended by family and close friends. Carpani’s health challenges began in 2021, when she was hospitalized due to severe abdominal pain. That year, she publicly revealed her diagnosis of endometriosis and adenomiosis, conditions that necessitated surgery. “A little over a week ago I was admitted to the emergency room with acute abdominal pain and spent a few days in therapy. Then they transferred me to the surgery room.Basically, it was a case in which I didn’t listen to my body or the pain – I tend to work despite the pain! – letting everything get worse,” Carpani wrote at the time, reflecting on her experience.
