A former Melbourne NRL star, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, is set to trade the rugby league field for the boxing ring, promising fans a starkly different side of his personality when he makes his professional debut next week. The 29-year-old’s decision comes after a period of disillusionment with his former sport, fueled by missing out on two grand finals due to suspension.

Despite being a decade younger and perhaps up to 30kg lighter, the 113kg Latimore believes his boxing acumen will give him the edge.
