The bodies of 14 people who were killed in a plane crash in Nepal have been recovered.

Authorities say a small plane carrying 22 passengers, including a foreigner, went missing in Nepal shortly after takeoff on Sunday.

The army has been conducting a search operation by helicopter since yesterday morning and has confirmed that the plane crashed in the Kowang area of ​​Mustang district.

The military has so far recovered 14 bodies from the crash site and sent them to Kathmandu for autopsy.

Rescue workers, along with the military, are continuing to search for the survivors.

Nepal Army spokesman on rescue operations:

The accident took place at an altitude of 14,500 feet. Troops of 15 men have been lowered to 11,000 feet to search for the remaining passengers.
