Google announced that the neural network editor in the Google Photos app will become generally available. Previously, these functions were available exclusively on Pixel smartphones and for users with a Google One subscription, reports the GizmoChina portal, Day.Az reports.

The AI-powered tools built into the photo editor include the Magic Editor, which allows you to fill, move objects in a photo, fill empty areas, and edit the foreground and background. Along with the Magic Editor, other tools will be free, including Magic Eraser for removing unwanted objects from photos, Photo Unblur for sharpening blurry images, and Portrait Light for changing the lighting source in portraits.

However, some features will remain exclusive to Pixel smartphones, including Best Take, which aggregates details from multiple similar photos into a single best one.

AI tools in the Google Photos app will begin rolling out on May 15, after which smartphone users, including iPhones, will begin to have access to new features. To use the innovations, you will need a smartphone based on Android 8.0 or iOS 15 or later, or a Chromebook with 3 GB of RAM and ChromeOS 118 or later.
