Heino has been active in the music business for about 60 years – now the pop star is financially playing the performance of his life.

Heino celebrated his big breakthrough in the 1960s and then had great success with songs like “Blau blüht der Enzian”. The pop singer is still active in the music industry today – and not just in Germany. He will be playing three concerts in the USA in August. He is paying particularly well for them.

After a performance in Beelitz, Brandenburg, last Sunday and another in Frankfurt (Oder) on August 18, Heino is now travelling across the Atlantic and to the USA. On August 22, he will play a concert in New York’s Plattduetsche Park at Franklin Square, and the following day another at the Cannstatter Volksfest in Philadelphia. He is expected to earn good money from both performances, but a third concert is expected to significantly surpass the fees.

According to the “Bild” newspaper, Heino is said to have received 60,000 euros for each of his shows in New York and Philadelphia. However, for a subsequent 90-minute concert in Rahway, New Jersey, on August 25, he is said to have received more than twice as much money, 135,000 euros. This would mean that he would earn a total of 255,000 euros from his US appearances.

When asked, Heino did not tell the newspaper whether the amounts were his actual fees, but explained: “It’s true, I’ve never received more money for a single performance and I’m looking forward to seeing my American fans again.” The concert in New Jersey is scheduled to take place in front of around 800 fans.
