Chairman of the National Party, Golam Mohammad Quader, broke up the Krishak Party and formed a new convening committee as the president and presidium member of the Krishak Party, Sahidur Rahman Tepa, left for the party of former opposition leader Begum Roshan Ershad. ABM Liaquat Hossain Chakladar is the convener of the committee. He was the secretary of the previous committee.

Mustafa Kamal, Enamul Haque Belal and Md. Rajyur Reza Swapan Chowdhury has been approved by the 93-member central convening committee of Jatiya Krishak Party as joint convener.
