This week in dance music, Cercle is set to host a unique DJ set with Tame Impala in Mexico City, coinciding with the band’s new dance-influenced album, Deadbeat. Fred again.. & Amyl and The Sniffers Ignite the Dancefloor with “you’re a star”
The prolific Frederick John Philip Gibson, known as Fred again.., has launched his “10 songs and 10 shows in 10 weeks” USB002 project with a compelling collaboration with Australian rock band Amyl and The Sniffers. “you’re a star” is a moody, jungle-infused track designed for late-night sets, and will be debuted tonight at Fred’s first USB002 show in Glasgow, featuring special guests Yousuke Yukimatsu and HAAi. The track is available now on Atlantic Records.
Skrillex, Chris Lake, and Anita B Queen Deliver a “La Noche” of Tech House Intensity
Chris Lake continues a remarkable run, following his debut album Chemistry and a recent collaboration with Disclosure and Levon Kali, with the release of “La Noche.” This tech house banger, created with Skrillex and Argentine-Korean artist Anita B Queen, blends a menacing edge with undeniable energy. According to a press release, this marks Skrillex’s first release since his April album FCK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!!* <3. “La Noche” is available on Black Book Records.
Honey Dijon and Chlöe Blend R&B and House on “The Nightlife”
A captivating collaboration between Honey Dijon and Chloë Bailey results in “The Nightlife,” a sumptuous R&B-infused house track. The song is propelled by Bailey’s rich vocals and is set to be accompanied by a music video on October 9. “The Nightlife” is available on SOS Records.
Kettama’s Archangel Ushers in a New Era for the Irish Producer
The buzz surrounding Kettama has reached a fever pitch with the release of his debut album, Archangel. The 15-track album showcases a sophisticated and danceable sound, featuring collaborations with Interplanetary Criminal, Fred again.., Prospa, and seantommy. Kettama shared on social media that the release feels “surreal” and expressed gratitude for the support he’s received. His October/November European and North American tour is currently sold out. Audien Returns with the Heartfelt First Love
Six years after his debut album, Audien unveils First Love, a deeply personal collection that he says “helped me through the last few years of my life.” Featuring vocalists Skylar Grey, Shallou, and Julia Church, the 12-track album maintains the uplifting spirit that has defined Audien’s career.
