Pakistan’s government has launched an investigation into allegations that Imran Khan sold jewelery given to him as a gift from abroad during his tenure as prime minister.

Imran Khan has been ousted as Pakistan’s prime minister after failing to vote in a no-confidence motion against the opposition. Following this, Shebaz Sharif became the new Prime Minister. Since the establishment of the new regime in Pakistan, there has been an indirect investigation into whether Imran Khan was involved in any malpractices.

Accordingly, it has been alleged that Imran Khan sold jewelery given to him from a foreign country when he was the Prime Minister. According to Pakistani law, gifts from abroad to high-ranking officials, including the Prime Minister and President, must be returned to the country’s treasury. However, it has been revealed that Imran Khano sold the jewelery for about Rs 18 crore without handing it over to the treasury. Instead he is said to have given only a few lakhs to the treasury.

Following this, the Pakistan Intelligence Agency (FIA) has registered a case and started an investigation.
