New Multidisciplinary Health Center Opens in Saint-Dizier, Signaling a Growing Trend in French Healthcare
A new health center opened this fall in Saint-Dizier, France, offering a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care and reflecting a broader shift toward integrated healthcare models across the Bragardie region. The center, founded by five healthcare professionals, aims to enhance the existing care network and demonstrates the increasing popularity of shared healthcare facilities.
Addressing a Growing Need for Integrated Care
Located in the Miko district, just a short distance from the city center at 10 rue Louis-Ortiz, the new facility officially launched on Friday, November 28th. The project originated with two colleagues from the established Camille-Rozet multidisciplinary health center, highlighting a desire to expand access to comprehensive care. This expansion underscores a growing recognition that collaborative healthcare environments improve patient outcomes.
Success Stories Pave the Way
Saint-Dizier is already home to successful examples of this model. The Camille-Rozet MSP, operational since 2022 after initial planning in 2017, is housed in the former hospital building and boasts a diverse team including nurses, dietitians, ophthalmologists, general practitioners, midwives, chiropodists-podiatrists, sophrologists, psychologist-psychotherapists, osteopaths, and medical interns. Similarly, the Paul-Cézanne MSP in the Vert-Bois district provides a collaborative space for approximately twenty health professionals, collectively representing over twenty practices.
A Vision Taking Shape
While still in its early stages, the new center at rue Louis-Ortiz is already demonstrating promising momentum. “We are very happy to invest in this place,” stated a lead project member, noting the building was a renovated residential house dating back to 2013, with occupancy beginning between September and October. The center’s founder, Nathan Gavignet, an occupational therapist, was already utilizing the space prior to the official launch, during the “Dys Day” event on Saturday, October 11th.
Inside, the atmosphere reflects a commitment to patient well-being. While some areas, like Gavignet’s office with its “sensory integration” devices – initially appearing as unconventional equipment – are functional, the overall focus is on creating a welcoming environment. Gavignet collaborated with Chris Miazola, a neuropsychologist-psychotherapist, to design the center, and they have been joined by osteopath Cyril Darty, psychomotor therapist Coralie Narat, and hypnotherapist Julie Campolo.
The Power of Collaboration
“Working as a team is a strength. We exchange a lot, we pass on positivity,” shared Julie Campolo, a hypnotherapist involved in the project. This sentiment encapsulates the core philosophy driving the new center. Coralie Narat, the psychomotor therapist, emphasized the attention to detail in creating a comfortable space, noting ongoing refinements to ensure optimal brightness and color in her office.
Campolo also playfully remarked on the center’s location, boasting a view of what she calls “l’Empire State Building de Saint-Dizier” – the prominent Miko tower.
Looking Ahead: A Therapeutic Kitchen and Continued Growth
The center’s second-floor meeting room, approximately 75 m², is slated to become a therapeutic kitchen, further expanding the range of services offered. Miazola recalled that the project’s conceptualization began in 2019, with property searches commencing in 2022, ultimately leading to the selection of the current location.
The opening of this new health center signifies a continued commitment to innovative healthcare delivery in the region, building on the success of existing multidisciplinary practices and promising a brighter future for patient care in Saint-Dizier.
