Apple is expected to launch new devices in the discounted iPhone SE series both this year and next, according to Reporting Of the leaker Ross Young who has already proven in the past that he has ties in the supply chain.
The model that will be launched this year, probably already in the coming months, will be very similar externally – if not completely identical – to the current model. With the same 4.7-inch screen and a physical home resolution underneath, the third-generation iPhone SE will maintain the same look that has accompanied the iPhone models ever since the 2014 iPhone 6 model. The hardware, on the other hand, will receive a significant upgrade, with support for a fifth-generation (5G) connection, the A15 Bionic chipset that will come from the iPhone 13 series devices, and also a higher-quality camera.
The fourth generation of the iPhone SE is expected to arrive in 2023, this time with a new and more modern design and a 5.7 or even 6.1-inch display. Apple originally planned to launch the device only in 2024, but now according to Young, the decision has been made to advance the launch.
An equally intriguing question is whether Apple plans to continue calling all of these devices the iPhone SE, as it has done for the past two generations. Well, according to the report, the model that will be launched this year will be given the unusual name iPhone SE + 5G, in order to differentiate it from its predecessors and emphasize the main upgrade according to Apple.
