Group NewJeans is raising expectations for its Japanese debut through a series of collaborations with greats in the culture and arts world.
According to their agency Adore on the 11th, New Jeans (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) joined hands with Hiroshi Fujiwara, famous as the godfather of Japanese street fashion, music producer, and musician.
Hiroshi Fujiwara designed t-shirts, bandanas, hats, bags, etc. for New Jeans. It is a so-called ‘New Jeans x Hiroshi Fujiwara’ item. Here, various graphics were printed using New Genes’ team name and member names, including Hangul written by Hiroshi Fujiwara himself, and Hiroshi Fujiwara’s name.

The collaboration between the two masters and New Genes proceeded naturally. Takashi Murakami revealed that he was a fan of New Jeans through regular interviews, and Hiroshi Fujiwara formed a relationship with New Jeans member Hani through a fashion magazine shoot earlier this year. New Jeans will release their Japanese debut single ‘Supernatural’ on June 21st. Although it is a Japanese single, it will be distributed simultaneously in Korea and globally. Then, on the 26th and 27th of the same month, their Japanese debut showcase and first solo performance will be held at Tokyo Dome.
