New manager for Ben Gurion Airport

This morning, Brigadier General Udi Bar-Oz entered his new position as director of Ben Gurion Airport. He replaces Brigadier General Shmuel Zakai, director of Ben Gurion Airport, who finished his post today after about 12 years of managing Ben Gurion Airport.

Brigadier General Udi Bar-Oz (age 58) has served as Deputy Director of Operations at the Airports Authority since 2008. As part of his role, he increased air traffic in the State of Israel, revolutionized training, safety and international relations, managed the Authority’s relationship with the Israel Defense Forces Air, established and developed the control towers and civil control units at all airports and was a member of the committee to select Israel’s next international airport.

Audi Bar Oz came to the Airports Authority after a military career in the Air Force as a pilot and as commander of bases and squadrons. He has 40 years of active flying in the Air Force, when, among other things, he commanded the Hercules aircraft squadron (Rhinoceros) – the Elephant Squadron and the Flying Camel Squadron.

Audi Bar Oz has a master’s degree in business administration for managers (EMBA) from Tel Aviv University, which he graduated as dean with honors, and a bachelor’s degree in economics and logistics from Bar-Ilan University, which he graduated with first class honors.
