New underpass between platforms and elevators at Metrovalencia’s Paiporta station
At the Paiporta Metrovalencia station, the underpass for transit between user platforms and lifts has been put into service. This has also led to the closure of the passage between platforms that was carried out crossing the tracks, which implied risks due to the circulation of trains.

The works, completed last week, have been completed by extending the length of the platforms, with an accessible pedestrian route for the aforementioned people with reduced mobility up to the access doors to the new lifts.
The two elevators, one per platform, have a capacity for eight people, about 630 kilograms, and are also fully accessible. In addition, stairs and an underpass have been built, with a new pedestrian route that crosses under the tracks between the two platforms, thus increasing the safety conditions for passengers passing from one side of the station to the other.

In addition, the necessary enclosures and pavements have been built, and canopies have been set up to protect users from inclement weather, as well as video surveillance equipment. These actions are included in the ‘Study on the situation of level crossings and crossings between platforms of the Metrovalencia network’ of FGV, in order to plan the interventions to be carried out in this and other stations of the network.
