New Year; UAE has given a holiday to the private sector on January 1

Abu Dhabi: The UAE has declared a holiday for all private sectors on January 1 in connection with the New Year. The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation said that the leave will be with pay. The decision will be taken in the cabinet meeting.

Schools are on winter break from December 12 to December 30. The vacation is as per Academic Calendar of Knowledge and Human Development Authority. Eid-ul-Fitr, Arafa Day, Eid Al-Adda, Hijri Newer, Prophet’s Day and UAE National Day have been announced as public holidays in the UAE.
