“The total war against Armenia and the Armenian people is gaining momentum. “There should not be any university in Yerevan,” says the current prime minister.
Don’t look for an educational component behind the step and don’t enter the debate with the wrong narrative. There is no other motivation here, apart from the obsession or the order to destroy the state.
In 1915, mass massacres began with the destruction of the literate layer of the people. Now it is the same. universities are being closed in the country’s capital.
They haven’t been able to build 20 houses in Shurnukh for three years, are they building an academic city?
Which capital does not have a university that should not be in Yerevan? Is it not in Paris, Rome, Moscow, London, Vienna… Its ministers may not raise a voice, but university professors cannot remain silent. Society cannot remain silent.
If there should not be a university in the capital, with its aura, its history, its culture, then what else should there be, government dachas? This is a plan to destroy the state.
The last 4-5 alleged reforms are based on the same logic: amendment of the Constitution, electronic prescriptions, transport price, widespread mandatory declaration of income, “tax on traffickers” and so on.
However, this also creates a serious social base for public consolidation and liberation from the power of evil. The government itself provides the social basis for change. It remains to take the natural agenda and achieve the result with proper management.
It is a gross mistake to reproach different groups of the public that “so many things happened, but you did not raise your voice”, or “4 villages give, you do not speak, but you fight for your university”. First of all, many, many people from those same groups raised their voices, and if there was no proper leadership and the struggle of those raising voices was not competently organized, it does not mean that these people are to blame.
A group decided to destroy everything. our task is not to allow this and, ultimately, to replace that group with a competent government.
I say it in all seriousness. In the near future, you may hear from them about the need to close Matenadaran, the National Academy of Sciences will follow. no scientific institution should be in Yerevan.
Then they will say: there should not be any church in Yerevan, we are building a “spiritual city” somewhere far away. There should be no theaters and concert halls. we are building a “cultural city”. They will not build anything, but they can intensively destroy everything.”
