MPs of the National Assembly “Hayastan” faction Gegham Manukyan, Anna Grigoryan, Kristine Vardanyan and Artur Khachatryan issued a joint statement.
“After getting acquainted with the proposals of the parties in the Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiation process, our concerns regarding the logic of the ongoing negotiation process and meeting the Azerbaijani preconditions were unfortunately confirmed today by Nikol Pashinyan’s statements regarding the amendment of the RA constitution.
Pashinyan also admitted that the motive for such a statement is to “ensure the legitimacy of political decisions”.
This statement is another message addressed to Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Let’s remind that one of the permanent demands presented to RA by the above-mentioned two states was to remove from the fundamental documents of RA the provisions of supporting the right of self-determination of the people of Artsakh and pursuing the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
We note that with this step, Pashinyan is trying to initiate a new attack on one of the pillars of the Third Republic of Armenia, preparing the ground for the satisfaction of another of the Turkish-Azerbaijani non-stop demands,” the statement reads.
