MIAMI – Nikola Jokic set a record when marking his debut in final NBA 2022/2023. In the first game against the Miami Heat at the Pepsi Center Arena, Friday (2/6/2023) morning WIB, the Denver Nuggets star successfully scored a triple double as he led his team to win 104-93.

Jokic had a triple-double with 27 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds in 40 minutes. Quoting from NBA History, Nikola Jokic became the second player in NBA history to make a triple-double when he made his first appearance in the finals.

Jason Kidd became the first player to do this in 2002, having had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Even though he made a good record in the first game of the 2022/2023 NBA finals, Nikola Jokic admitted that he did not force the game.

The 28-year-old basketball player said he only showed his abilities when he was given the confidence to play by the coach. “I never force (play). I just give my all when given the opportunity to play,” Nikola Jokic was quoted as saying by ESPN.

This success can be used as a momentum for Jokic to appear impressive in the second game of the 2022/2023 NBA finals. The match will take place at the Pepsi Center Arena, Monday (5/6/2023) morning WIB.
