Nîmes Libraries Launch Enchanting Storytelling Series for Young Children

A vibrant series of storytelling events, designed to ignite the imagination and foster a love of reading, will be held at the Nîmes libraries from October 4, 2025, through December 20, 2025. This monthly programming, geared towards families with young children, promises an immersive experience in the oral tradition led by accomplished storytellers.

Featured Storytelling Events – Fall/Winter 2025
The schedule, beginning in October, features a compelling lineup of performances. Here’s a detailed look at the upcoming events:
- “I’m biting, I’m baking” by Hervé le Jacq will be presented on Wednesday, October 22 at 3 p.m. in the Youth Space, recommended for children ages 4 and up.
- “Creole tales from here and elsewhere” with Armand Pijulet is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5 at 3 p.m., also in the Youth Space, and is suitable for children ages 4 and up.
- On Saturday, November 22 at 11 a.m., Célia Carrière will present “Little stories in the fall” in the Youth Space, designed for children as young as 18 months.
- “History soup” by ano-sophie robst will take place on Wednesday, December 10 at 3 p.m. in the Youth Space, welcoming children ages 4 and older.
- Concluding the series on Saturday, December 20 at 11 a.m. in the Small Auditorium, Françoise Cadène will share “Santa’s little secrets”, perfect for children from 18 months.
The events will be presented in French, making them accessible to local families and offering an immersive cultural experience.
