Kanjirapally: A mother has been arrested in connection with the incident where a four-day-old baby was found dead inside her house. Nisha was arrested in Malurmala, a rented house in Idakkunnam Mukkali. Police said the mother had confessed to drowning the baby. Nisha’s mother told police that the newborn died when she accidentally fell into the water while dipping her feet in Kansas water to reduce fever. However, Nisha confessed during the subsequent interrogation.
