Kasargod: Representatives of Kasargod district have come out alleging that there was no official invitation to the event attended by President Ramnath Kovind. The President is arriving in Kasaragod to attend the fifth graduation ceremony of the Kerala-Central University in Periya.
Rajmohan Unnithan MP alleged that he was not officially invited to the function unless the program sent a notice. Unnithan also criticized the BJP for being a mastermind at the Central University. Uduma MLA Ch. കുഞ്ഞമ്പു പറഞ്ഞു. Uduma MLA also criticized the university’s action as anti-democratic and arrogant.
The university’s unofficial explanation is that everyone has been invited and that the decision on the venue, including seating, is made by the president’s office. President Ramnath Kovind will arrive in Kerala today for a three-day visit. The function will be held at 3.30 pm at a special venue set up at the Central University premises.
