No money for Hamas supporters: major donors to elite universities outraged

Major donors to major American universities are threatening to stop their funding payments. They accuse university administrations of tolerating Hamas sympathizers.

Major donors to well-known universities in the United States have stopped or threatened to stop paying after university administrators remained silent about Hamas’s atrocities, failed to respond to student groups’ expressions of solidarity with the terrorist organization, and tolerated and even promoted events with anti-Semitic segments.

Hedge fund manager Bill Ackman, a major Harvard donor ($26 million), was one of the first to publicly express outrage at 34 Harvard student groups. They had spread an appeal with the central statement that Israel’s apartheid regime alone should be blamed for the atrocities and that Israel’s military campaign in Gaza was “colonial retaliation.”
