TOWhat might the perfect day look like for Grigor Dimitrov?

The Bulgarian tennis star tried to answer this question.

“I will get up at 7 o’clock – I always wake up early, and at 7.30 I will drink coffee. Then I’ll go for a walk and definitely ride my bike, while trying to enjoy the view around. On my days off, I do simple things and usually make spontaneous decisions based on the moment and mood. The most important thing is to not think about work at all and not use my phone if possible. If the weather is nice and the water is warm, I will definitely swim. My program will definitely include a picnic. For lunch I would have a steak with fries. Dinner will also be nice, if possible by candlelight, and there will be ice cream for dessert. Then I will watch a good movie”, said Dimitrov.

Grigor is in Rotterdam this week, where last year he reached the semi-finals and lost to Danil Medvedev (Russia). In his first match, our tennis player won 100% of his points on the first serve and defeated Lorenzo Sonego (It) 7:6 (7:4), 6:3, with whom he had not played before.

“I didn’t show my best tennis, but I performed solidly in the most important moments of the match. This is exactly what I look for when my shots lack the necessary accuracy. I tried to lead the game in a way that was convenient for me, and it worked”, commented Dimitrov.

He also had to answer a question about Valentine’s Day.

“I already bought a present. You can’t catch me off guard. For me, love is the most important thing in the world. It is no coincidence that every game in tennis starts with 15-love (this is the terminology in English, in Bulgarian it is 15:0)”, answered Dimitrov, who in 2018 was a finalist in Rotterdam.

In the next round he will play Marton Fucovic. The Hungarian is one of his most inconvenient opponents, but Grigor beat him in no time at the Australian Open.
