Nostalgia for what could have been and did not come to fruition in an autofiction set in Galicia in the 90s is what the company Teatro en Vilo a Today can be my big night that Friday passed by Municipal Theater of Girona.
The piece is born from a girl’s dream, the actress Noemí Rodríguezof follow in the footsteps of his father, an orchestra musician. He wants to succeed in the world of show business, a concept whose success goes through the popular program Meteor showerbut the journey to the casting of Bertín Osborne’s talent contest is actually a path that goes from comedy to the most pathetic moments and an exaggerated praise of the loser.
Noemí Rodríguez and her sister Darlene, sitting at the keyboards, pose a monologue full of generational winks -the karaoke of dance close togetherthe Eurovision moment of the Azúcar Moreno- simple and fun, though some too easy and reiterative points and an excess of shouting that is totally unnecessary.
Laughter results in an ending that it appears tragic, pompous and grandiloquent. Luckily for the final minutes, which put everything back in place.
