The Middle European Class Party will not support a government led by a prime minister from GERB. This is stated in the position of the party of Konstantin Bachiyski, who is an MP from PP-DB.

Bachiyski’s party was the mandate holder of “Continuing the Change” in the 47th National Assembly, which also aired the government of Kiril Petkov.

During the local elections last year, however, relations within the group deteriorated after DB nominated another candidate for mayor of Burgas against Bachiyski, and a month later the local PP structure announced that it was ending its work with him.

The SEC party has only 1 MP and that is Bachiiski himself.

Here is the full position of the SEC, published on their party website on March 21:

From the very creation and realization of the idea and the coalition “Continuing the Change”, we from the “Middle European Class” PP have stated our principles and goals: maximum limitation and even removal of the vicious management model of PP GERB and PP DPS from state management. To this day, we have not given up and have not given up on these goals, because we are adamant that a better future for Bulgaria necessarily goes through a period in which these parties do not participate in governance. And such a period is also the only chance for themselves, in case they want to change and purify themselves from the inside. In view of our long experience of fighting this vicious pattern, we knew very well what they were capable of and about it and repeatedly warned our friends and coalition partners of “Continuing the Change”, and for this reason we did not support certain decisions in Parliament Precisely because we knew that despite all the compromises, despite the new faces from PP GERB put in charge of their internal leadership, sooner or later the situation will come to a situation like the one on Tuesday and we will all remember again that the ugly face of the dependent state he has no qualms about using anyone to keep from giving up power.

We categorically state that we will not support a government headed by a prime minister from GERB, because whatever figure is named, it is clear that Borisov is firmly standing behind it and watching with the 12-year government model imposed in the country. We will also insist, when examining the candidate ministers during the consultations for the second term, to make a better analysis of their actions and the motives for them, because we have good reasons to believe that the faces of the mafia are also peeking behind some of them and the status quo.

PP Middle European Class will continue to defend its principles and, as before and in the future, it will be guided by the interests of the citizens!
