Riyadh: Writer Indu Menon released the novel ‘The Beauty of Masra’ by Abdiya Shafeena, who is an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, at the Sharjah Book Festival. Received by Ashraf Thamarassery, a social worker in Dubai. The plot of the novel is the story of a Pakistani youth named Asarjan, with the exploitation of homosexuality as the theme.
Pratapan Thayat, Managing Director of Haritam Books gave the introductory speech. Writer Sarga Roy conducted the book review. Narrator Velliyodan was the presenter. Social worker Nasser Nasko and Malabar Kitchen Chairman Muhammadali Chakot spoke. Author Abdia Shafeena delivered the reply speech.
