Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, is preparing a little for a busy long weekend. Thanks to the beautiful sun ahead, professionals are expecting a lot of people from the evening of Thursday 10 November.
In the heart of the Alpilles, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhone) and its fall colors. The alleys wake up quietly, the tourists also around a breakfast on the terrace of a café. For this bridge of November 11, holidaymakers want to play extra time. A downtown hotel is almost full, only three of the establishment’s rooms are available out of the 33.
In Saint-Rémy, a mainly French clientele is enjoying the last fine days. In this season, “there are fewer people, the colors are beautiful”as a tourist from Touraine explains. Far from the 33,000 summer tourists, autumn is quieter in the city. However, the mild temperatures, abnormal for the season, suit the business of traders. A restaurant awaits holidaymakers with firm footing. “We already have a lot of reservations, people will start arriving from Friday”says a restaurateur. Professionals expect 30% more attendance compared to last year.
