The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in a special bulletin on the agency’s website published the latest data on the epidemiological situation in the Armed Forces.
It is reported, in particular, that over the past day after treatment, 64 military personnel have recovered from the coronavirus. And the total number of people who, since March last year, got rid of a dangerous viral infection, has reached more than 45.9 thousand people in the army and navy.
In addition, over 155.2 thousand representatives of the Armed Forces who were in contact with those infected with Covid-19, after two weeks of quarantine and control testing, were removed from medical control.
To date, 1,487 military personnel who test positive for coronavirus are under medical supervision. 716 patients with new coronavirus infection are in military hospitals. 12 military are treated by civilian doctors. Another 759 people are isolated at home.
It is reported that the vast majority of the disease is asymptomatic. However, three servicemen are in serious condition. In another seven infected with coronavirus, doctors diagnosed the average severity of the disease.
As of today, 32 people with coronavirus have been identified among military personnel, cadets and students of universities of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In civilian personnel of the Armed Forces, a dangerous infection was found in 198 employees.
The department noted that in 18 multidisciplinary medical centers of the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than one thousand three hundred people are now being treated, 260 of whom are civilians. “Patients receive all types of specialized care, from diagnostics to surgical treatment for the widest range of pathologies, including those affected by coronavirus infection,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The bulletin says that since the start of the work of the multidisciplinary centers erected by the Russian Ministry of Defense in 16 regions of the country, almost 30,500 patients have provided medical care there, over 11,600 of whom are civilians. “All of them received the necessary treatment in inpatient conditions of medical centers, recovered and were discharged,” the ministry said.
To date, 476,343 people have undergone scheduled revaccination in the Armed Forces, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
“In accordance with the decision of General of the Army S.K. Shoigu, the Russian Ministry of Defense is assisting in the provision of oxygen to medical institutions of the municipal and state health systems at the expense of the production capabilities of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.
