His father, mother Eswari (45) and his aunt Pushpam (40) were waiting for a bus at the National Highway bus stand this morning to return to college for the Tamil New Year holidays.

Then a car speeding towards Uthamapalaiyam from the pole collided with 4 people in the blink of an eye. Four of them were seriously injured. Student Ajitha sustained serious head injuries and died at the scene.

Upon learning about this, the Uththamapalaiyam police rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to the hospital. There is ongoing intensive care.

Uthamapalaiyam police have registered a case and arrested Bhuvaneshwaran (35), a resident of Chinnamanur, Keezhappulanandapuram, who was driving the car.

In this case, an umbrella should be set up at the Anumanthanpatti bus stand. Hundreds of villagers staged a road blockade on the Uththamapalaiyam-Kumuli National Highway, demanding that barricades be erected to reduce the speed of vehicles in the bus stand.

Authorities promised to accept the public’s request and take immediate action. Following this everyone dispersed. The incident caused a stir in the area.
