Judge Jayachandran of the Madras High Court recently gave a verdict in the case filed by O. Panneerselvam and Vairamuthu against the AIADMK general committee meeting held on 11th July.
In it, he said that the selection of Edappadi Palaniswami as AIADMK Interim General Secretary is invalid and the status quo of June 23 will continue in AIADMK. Edappadi Palaniswami’s side is shocked as this verdict has come in favor of O. Panneerselvam’s side.
Speaking to the media after this verdict, O. Panneerselvam called on Edappadi Palaniswami to work together again in the interests of the AIADMK. Edappadi Palaniswami, who refused to accept this invitation, has filed an appeal against the judgment of Justice Jayachandran. The case will soon be heard by a two-judge bench.
In this case, the general committee members under Edappadi Palaniswami are supporting O. Panneerselvam’s side, which has created a stir. Day by day, members of the general committee are meeting O. Panneerselvam in person and expressing their support. So far, more than 10 general committee members have jumped from Edappadi Palaniswami’s team to O. Panneerselvam’s team.

Meanwhile, there is information that O. Panneerselvam is going to go to the AIADMK headquarters in Rayapetta, Chennai soon. It is said that he is going to go to the headquarters office as a coordinator and take up party work. This issue has also given a shock to Edappadi Palaniswami’s side.
Apart from this, it is also said that O. Panneerselvam’s party is baiting to show that it has the support of the volunteers and to attract more general assembly members to their side. Thus, in the coming days, O. Panneerselvam’s supporters are saying that the support of the general assembly members will increase.
