jpnn.comJAKARTA – Head of the Political Science Study Program at the University of North Sumatra (USU) Warjio said that Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution has the opportunity to be nominated by the Golkar Party as a candidate for governor for the 2024 North Sumatra regional elections.

“This signal has been voiced in the legislative and presidential elections,” said Warjio when contacted by ANTARA from Jakarta, Wednesday (1/5).

Because, he said, the leadership of the political party supporting Prabowo-Gibran has introduced President Jokowi’s son-in-law as a candidate to be supported in the 2024 regional elections.

However, Warjio believes that the decision on which candidates will run for the North Sumatra regional elections also depends on the pressure that will emerge from the public both in North Sumatra and nationally.

“Perhaps that will be a determining factor in future political party decisions,” he said.

Previously, Saturday (27/4), North Sumatra Golkar DPD Chairman Musa Rajekshah or Ijeck stated that he was ready to run as a candidate for governor in the North Sumatra regional elections.

He has also received a letter of assignment or recommendation to advance from the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Golkar Party.

However, it was not only Ijeck who received the assignment letter, Jokowi’s son-in-law, Bobby Nasution, also received a similar mandate from the political party led by Airlangga Hartarto.

This is the observer’s analysis of Jokowi’s son-in-law Bobby Nasution’s chances in the 2024 North Sumatra regional elections. This is the political party that is predicted to support him.
