Oil film at Oktyabrskaya embankment was collected by four oil skimmers

by time news

The oil slick, noticed by the Petersburgers, covering the Neva from coast to coast in the area of the Oktyabrskaya embankment, was eliminated. Four oil skimmers worked at the site during the day, as well as two boats that monitored the situation.

This was announced on Friday, October 29, by the press service of Rosprirodnadzor for the Northwestern Federal District. They noted that the film turned out to be thin, and therefore had to be removed with active foam. The source of pollution was the storm drain near the house No. 138k2 on Obukhovskoy Oborony Avenue (Knyaz Alexander Nevsky Residential Complex), from there the runoff went to the Murzinka River, and only then to the Neva.

Earlier, Kommersant-SPb wrote that the reconstruction of water treatment facilities in Vyborg will be completed in 2024.
