The Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas has commented that Purana Mugltuli High School will soon emerge as a high quality school in Dhaka South City Corporation area.

He expressed this optimism at the annual sports competition and prize distribution ceremony of Purana Mogultuli High School organized on Thursday (February 29) at Bangladesh Ground.

Sheikh Tapas said, the old Mughaltuli High School was a neglected school. There was no permission to teach in this school. We have arranged for teaching. I have arranged for the appointment of other teachers including the head teacher. We are hopeful that the school will soon emerge as a high quality school in Dhaka South City Corporation area.

Stating that the annual sports competition will be organized regularly from now on, the Mayor said that since the establishment of this school in 2006, no annual sports competition has been held till date. Annual sports competition will be organized every year from now to make our children more smart, talented, intelligent and sports fans. We want our children to progress not only in education, but also in sports and culture. They will develop themselves as a good citizen of Smart Bangladesh.

Mohammad Solaiman Salim, Member of Parliament of Dhaka-7 Constituency, said in the ceremony, “Wherever our mayor is involved, I am there.” Therefore, I will fully cooperate with any need including financial support for the development of Purana Mogultuli High School. If you want to join MPO, I will cooperate with utmost sincerity.

In the sports competition, competitions were held in 17 categories including musical chair, pot breaking, dress up as you wish, running competition.
