Sultanate of Oman celebrates National Day in Muscat Today, the country is celebrating the 51st National Day under the leadership of Sultan Haitam bin Tariq. Country and city, locals and foreigners alike celebrate National Day.


Workplaces, shopping malls and the streets are abuzz with celebrations. Celebrations are restricted in the Kovid situation. Public events are prohibited. Roads and buildings are decorated with national flags and flag colors. Everywhere pictures of the Sultan were inscribed and added to the festivities.

The Sultan will receive a salute at the military parade

A military parade will be held today at the Al Mutafa camp. Ruler Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, will receive the salute. There will also be an army band parade. The Royal Army of Oman, the Royal Air Force of Oman, the Royal Navy of Oman, the Royal Guard of Oman, the Sultan’s Special Forces, the Royal Oman Police and the Royal Court Affairs will also take part in the National Day Band Parade.

Today and tomorrow Fireworks

Fireworks and fireworks will be set off on Thursdays and Fridays as part of the National Day celebrations. Sheikh Ziba bin Hamad Al Saadi, secretary general of National Day celebrations, said the shootings took place in the governorates of Dhofar and Muscat. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruiting center in Muscat. The shooting will start at 8 pm.

Parking control

The Royal Oman Police have imposed restrictions on parking as part of the National Day Parade. The Royal Oman Police said that vehicles should not be parked on either side of the road from the Al Barkah Palace Roundabout to the Military Parade Square in the Al Murafa Camp from 8am to 8pm today.
